The piece retains its original institutional stencil, HC/CH/SF.DIV / Rs 37/1962, placing its provenance within the HC/CH/SF.DIV office and confirming its year of manufacture.
Constructed in solid teak throughout. The body is asymmetrical: one full-height open bay on the left, two open shelves of differing heights on the right. Four tapered, outward-splayed legs affixed under the body.
The teak has deepened to a dense, warm patina over sixty years of institutional life. Offered as found, with wear consistent with its history and the integrity of its stencil marking fully intact.
