Engineered and Tested for Endurance
We didn’t just design this watch strap, we pushed it to its limits. To make sure it could stand up to real-world adventure, the Mayday Regatta went through six brutal durability tests:
- Dry Rub Test (150 cycles, 1kg pressure): No discolouration, no wear, just flawless performance.
- Wet Rub Test (150 cycles, 1kg pressure): Even under soaking conditions, the surface held strong without a mark.
- Flex Test (2,000 cycles): Simulating daily bending through the buckle, no cracks, no scratches.
- Flex & Load Test (1,000 cycles, 0.5kg weight): With added pressure, the strap still bent and bounced back without damage.
- Pull Test (15kg for 1 min): The spring bar area stayed rock-solid under serious strain.
- Twist Test (3,000 twists, 5kg pressure): Withstood extreme twisting forces, passed without defects.
Layered for Performance
Top layer of our sailcloth is built with a triple-layer construction:
- Base layer: Black woven cotton fabric, giving tear-resistant strength.
- Middle layer: Grey neoprene foam, adding flexible comfort that adapts to temperature and time.
