De Suhr Classic S Sonic Blue is een gitaar die je meteen herkent en meteen wil spelen. De Sonic Blue-afwerking op de Alder-body is een van de meest geliefde vintage kleuren, en Suhr doet hem recht met een strakke, consistente laklaag die de kleur precies zo weergeeft als het hoort. De Alder-body geeft de gitaar een gebalanceerde toon met een heldere middentoon en een prettige resonantie die zowel clean als gedistorteerd goed werkt.

De Maple-hals met Indian Rosewood-fretboard en 60's C Vintage Standard-profiel (.810"-.930") speelt vertrouwd en comfortabel, met 22 medium Stainless Steel-frets, dot inlays en een 9"-12" compound radius. Drie V60LP single coils via een 5-weg schakelaar met volume en toon. De Gotoh 510-brug met stalen blok en Suhr locking tuners zorgen voor stabiele stemming. Gewicht 3.63 kg, schaal 25.5", inclusief gigbag.

De V60LP is Suhr's antwoord op de vraag hoe een vintage-voiced single coil er in de praktijk uit moet zien. Hij klinkt warm en open in de neckpositie, helder en glasachtig in het midden, en heeft aan de bridge net genoeg bite zonder te snijden. De combinatie van drie V60LP's geeft de Classic S Sonic Blue een consistente toon over alle vijf schakelaarposities.
