A spare spool is the simplest way to get more out of the Orvis Hydros reel you already fish. This spool carries every refinement of the Hydros reel itself. The narrow, stiffened spool minimizes line stacking, while the large arbor design delivers fast retrieval rates and noticeably less line coiling than a standard arbor. Machined from aluminum and finished in a durable matte type II anodized coating, it is built to ride in a pack and take the knocks that come with a working backup.
The Hydros spare spool is offered in five sizes, Hydros I through Hydros V, covering line weights from 1-3wt up to 9-11wt, in matte silver with charcoal accents or matte black with silver accents.
