The Ross Colorado raises the bar for lightweight click-pawl reels. Built on the legacy of the beloved Colorado LT, this thoroughly updated design brings a stunning new aesthetic defined by aerodynamic shapes and surfaces unlike anything else on the market, all machined right here in Montrose, Colorado, the same town as Ed's Fly Shop.
Every Colorado reel is crafted from a solid one-piece 6061-T6 proprietary aluminum frame and spool for maximum strength and rigidity, and comes in under 3 ounces across all models. The machined canvas phenolic handle rests on a 7075-T6 chromated aluminum post for superior grip and reduced weight, eliminating the need for a counterweight.
The all-metal click-pawl drag features a stainless steel pawl, gear, and spring for that classic, satisfying sound on the water. A machined marine-grade bronze bushing rotates on a stainless steel spindle, with a quick-release spool and easy left-to-right-hand retrieve conversion. The Type II anodized finish balances hardness and color.
Covering 0 to 5 weight lines, the Colorado is the ideal reel for delicate dry fly presentations, small stream fishing, and warm water applications where feel and finesse matter most. Available in Matte Black, Platinum, Matte Blue, and Matte Olive, and proudly made in Montrose, Colorado, USA.
