The case itself is made from an injection-molded copolymer that is durable, as well as corrosion and impact resistant. The gasket around the lid seal makes the case waterproof. The built-in automatic pressure equalization valve prevents the case from being affected by air pressure changes that otherwise might make it impossible to open without damaging the case or its contents
