"The album was newly remastered at legendary Abbey Road Studios using the Direct to Metal Mastering (DMM) audiophile copper plating process, all from original analog tapes. A Farewell to Kings was the fifth studio album by the band. It was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, and mixed at Advision Studios in London. A Farewell to Kings would become Rush's first US gold-selling album, receiving the certification within two months of it's release, and was eventually certified platinum. Geddy Lee originally wrote his bass lines on his acoustic bass. The singles included 'Closer to the Heart' and 'Cinderella Man,' while the album peaked at #33 on the Billboard 200 and #22 on the U.K. album charts."
