When Pool or Hot tub pH or alkalinity is too high it can be detrimental to disinfection, pool equipment and bather comfort.  We recommended that you first get the total alkalinity (TA) of your pool or spa correct, which will then allow you to set the pH and disinfectant levels much more easily. When using this product to reduce total alkalinity (TA) add your dose to the pool without the filter running so it settles at the bottom of the pool, then restart the filter after one to two hours and retest after 24 hours.
