DI Marnie Rome knows this better than most. Five years ago, her family home was the scene of a shocking and bloody crime that left her parents dead and her foster brother in prison. Marnie doesn’t talk much about her personal life, preferring to focus on work. Not even her partner, DS Noah Jake, knows much about Marnie’s past. Though as one of the few gay officers on the force and half Jamaican to boot, Noah’s not one to overshare about his private life either. Now Marnie and Noah are tackling a case of domestic violence, and a different brand of victim.
Hope Proctor stabbed her husband in desperate self-defense. A crowd of witnesses in the domestic violence shelter where she’s staying saw it happen, but none of them are telling quite the same story, and the simple question remains: how did Leo Proctor get in to the secure shelter? Marnie and Noah shouldn’t even have been there when it happened but they were interviewing another resident, Ayana Mirza. They’re trying to get Ayana to testify against her brothers for pouring bleach on her face for bringing dishonor the family, and blinding her in one eye. But Ayana knows that her brothers are looking for her, and she has no doubt that they’ll kill her this time.
As the violence spirals, engulfing the residents of the women's shelter, Marnie finds herself drawn into familiar territory: A place where the past casts long shadows and she must tread carefully to survive.

Decent dividers

I think you will love these under the right circumstances. Number one the sound absorption is hard to describe because since the panels don't go to the roof sound can easily travel to the other so you and without being hindering but they do absorb sound to a certain extent.
They also provide pretty good coverage for privacy in an office or dorm situation with ease. I wouldn't say it's easy to store but it does fold up pretty well and overall for the price it's an effective means of letting those around you know you need some peace.
For the price it's a pretty good divider. It requires very little assembly and is relatively sturdy so all in all not a bad option.

Very functional, well made, and looks great!

My wife and I both work from home but for different companies. We have separate office spaces but they are without a door between them. There are times when we both are on either voice or video calls when we can hear each other on the calls. Other times, I have to walk past her office space and behind her desk to get to other areas of the house. We really needed something to help block some of the ambient sound and to obscure me from her video calls when I'm going past to let the dogs out. These foldable partitions are a great solution for us. The wheels make them easy to move into place when needed, and to store away when they are not. The wheels also lock, making them stable where we set them. The assembly was easy and quick, with only the simplest of instructions needed. Assembly tools were even included. These are large and a bit heavy for one person to move before assembly, so get the wheels on them for easier movement. I've researched how much these can cost new from the commercial office suppliers, and these are a good value.

I needed a flexible solution for a shared office space, and this foldable partition worked better than expected. Setup was straightforward, and the wheels make it easy to move around without scratching the floor. It noticeably reduces noise and distractions, which helped my focus more than I anticipated. The gray color and aluminum frame look clean and professional, not temporary or flimsy. It’s not fully soundproof, but it definitely softens background noise. Storage is easy since it folds up neatly when not in use. For home or office use, it’s practical and well designed.

Very good product

I purchased these to wear inside lowcut slip on casual shoes, I don't particularly like to not wear socks in my shoes for hygienic reasons. Prior to purchasing these socks, all I could find were those made of very light beige hosiery type material , and my slip on shoes would slide around a bit. These are light weight and breathable athletic type material, with a very good gripper strip at the heel. One pair of my slip on casual shoes have a particularly lower cut in the toe area, but the shoe is black and I chose the black color and though I see a hint of the sock there, it matches and does not detract from the look of the casual solid black shoe
