Pyrex glass is one of the safest, most skin friendly materials available, it's phthalate free, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and the nonporous surface leaves no place for bacteria and other nasties to hide. The 48 can be easily cleaned and even fully sterilized, wash well after each use with soap and water, a good toy cleaner, or simply pop it in boiling water to sterilize. You can also place your plug in the dishwasher if you like (top rack, no soap please!).
