Every GARwall© installation is a singular expression of deep time, crafted not merely with material, but with millennia. Composed of original fossil fish unearthed from an ancient tropical riverbed, each tile holds a distinct story written by nature itself. No two are ever the same.
Our design templates offer a guiding vision, but the final piece is always shaped by the natural variation in each specimen with subtle differences in tone, texture, and form that bring life and authenticity to the surface.
Through meticulous grading and expert curation, we ensure aesthetic harmony across every detail. The result is not just a feature wall, it’s a living relic, an heirloom of organic design. It’s a centrepiece that doesn’t just complete a space, it defines it.
The timeless, rare, and unforgettable GARwall© series is designed to captivate today and resonate for generations.
THE PROCESS
This journey begins in the fossiliferous limestone beds of Wyoming’s Rocky Mountains in high-altitude terrain, where the remnants of ancient life lie hidden beneath layers undisturbed for over 33.9 million years. It is here, amidst the stone and silence, that nature reveals her forms with delicate, intricate, and exquisitely preserved fossil fish.
Each specimen is carefully unearthed within its native bedrock, where it remains embedded to preserve its authenticity. Size, accent, and orientation are thoughtfully considered, where each detail is closely aligned with our design template to ensure both harmony and narrative cohesion.
Once shaped and prepared, the tiles are transported to our studio for refinement, gently graded, subtly accented, and evaluated for their resonance with the tones and textures of their greater composition. This is where the scene emerges; not simply a wall, but a living tableau, an echo of a long-lost tropical lagoon, once vibrant with life. Through precision in preparation, artistry, and profound respect for the material, each tile invites the imagination to journey back across millennia.
