Dr. Richard Andree (1835-1912) was a prominent German geographer and cartographer known for his extensive work in ethnography and geography. He worked in Leipzig and became the editor and primary author of several significant geographical atlases, including the widely recognized "Andree's Allgemeiner Handatlas." In addition to cartography, Andree studied various ethnic groups and cultures, which was reflected in his scholarly works.
