A fire extinguisher is an essential tool in any vehicle and is required for most organized group 4x4 runs. The Power Tank Quick-Release (QR) Bracket makes mounting one in your vehicle very simple, it is extremely durable, and it packs in a lot of great features that other manufacturers neglect.
You can flush mount this bracket to any flat surface, PALS or MOLLE panel with our backing plate, or to a roll cage tube using a set of optional roll bar clamps. Our roll bar clamps fit 1.5", 1.75", 1.875", 2.0", and 2.25" tubes. Additionally, you can mount this to the side of your 10 lb or 15 lb Super Bracket (BKT-2260) if it was purchased in 2021 or later.
We have machined these brackets from 6061 billet aluminum before sandblasting and anodizing in either silver or black for a matte, textured finish that will look great in any vehicle. Machining with very tight tolerances reduces any noise from vibration while you're blasting through the desert.
The pull pin to release the fire extinguisher features a bright red fabric pull which is easy to grab in an emergency and is attached to a steel lanyard so you don't have to worry about losing the pin while you're in a hurry. If necessary, you can pull the pin and grab the fire extinguisher in two different movements if you only have one hand available.
This bracket includes hose clamps for fire extinguishers in the 3" diameter range. A 2.5 lb. ABC Dry Chemical fire extinguisher is recommended. ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers cover all types of fire sources on a vehicle: combustibles, fluids, electrical. This is what we use in our rigs.
We also include a second set of hose clamps to mount a Pro Eagle Phoenix CO2 jack! This quick-release bracket is included in our new Power Shot/Pro Eagle Double Barrel Kit if you want the ultimate recovery combination for your Side by Side.
